PureMessage for Unix Installation Guide
Drehbuch zur Installation einer PureMessage Lizenz unter Linux
- als root mittels wget den Link zur Lizenz downloaden
z.B. wget http://pmlic.sophos.com/pm/TXXXXXXX-linux.sh - Permissions ändern zumindest auf 744 für root
chmod 744 TXXXXXXX-linux.sh - ausführen des Installations-Scriptes ./TXXXXXXX-linux.sh
- ausführen des Setup Scriptes /opt/pmx/bin/pmx-setup-v5
- für
Test- und kleine Installationen genügt ein "Full Installation", bei
großen oder speziellen Installationen wird "Custom Installation"
ausgeführt.
Hinweis: "Full" installiert automatisch (1) alles auf einem Server und (2) Sendmail als MTA. - Sendmail Konfiguration:
/opt/pmx/sendmail/sbin/pmx-sendmail-conf -> Sendmail-Configuration - Post Installation:
- Entfernen alter Start Up Links unter /etc/init.d/
- Verlinken von /opt/pmx/sendmail/etc/init.d/sendmail mit /etc/init.d/sendmail
- Anlegen der Start- und Stop-Links in rc3.d (und event. in rc5.d) in der Reihenfolge:
PureMessage startet vor Sendmail und stoppt nach Sendmail
(damit es keine Timeouts, rejects oder tempfails gibt, wenn sendmail vor pm gestartet würde) - Log Rotation: in /etc/cron.daily/logrotate wird /opt/pmx/etc/logrotate.conf als zusätzlicher Parameter eingetragen
- Repository Cleanup:
als pmx-user: ppm-locations --clean
